The best hearing aids – Hearing aid test winners 2022

Updated on

With the wide variety of manufacturers and models, finding the hearing aid that's best for you isn't easy. It depends to a large extent on your individual needs. Taking into account the price-performance ratio and technical features, we have rated the best hearing aids and put together a ranking of high-class hearing systems. In the following article, we present our test winners.

1. Phonak Audeo Paradise

The overall winner of our test is the Phonak Audeo Paradise. It is a behind-the-ear device and suitable for mild to severe hearing loss. It features Bluetooth and can be paired with up to eight devices. Through an accelerometer, the device detects your movement and adjusts microphones and noise suppression accordingly – this function is, however, only available on the rechargeable version. In quieter environments, the Speech Enhancer comes into play: it amplifies the peaks of quiet speech and thus enables clearer speech perception. The Phonak Audeo Paradise also performs best in customer ratings.

MyPhonak App

Thanks to the MyPhonak app, you have a real-time remote control for your hearing care, with support for live video chat with our audiologist, access to battery status and wearing time, a hearing diary and other individual program settings. The app also includes a slider to reduce loud sounds or amplify quiet ones.

2. Oticon More

The Oticon More is a discreet behind-the-ear hearing aid with a special BrainHearing technology. Thanks to the Polaris microchip, it provides the brain with better and more natural access to sounds in its environment. It is also rechargeable. It features Bluetooth and what is called Deep Neural Network technology, which offers a detailed and clear perception of every sound. Depending on the hearing characteristics of the wearer, the More Sound Intelligence distinguishes difficult from easy listening situations. The findings of intensive research into how hearing is processed in the brain result in the Oticon More impressing with stunning sound and optimal 360-degree orientation.

Up to 19 hours of battery life are extended by up to another four days via a mobile charging case. It contains special therapy functions against tinnitus as well as the Signia Assistant for individual sound adjustment. Bluetooth lets you control calls or music. The ReSound ONE stands for natural hearing. Thanks to refined technology, the Resound ONE provides exceptionally clear hearing of the sounds in your environment. It also features an additional receiver placed in the ear, which adapts the sound to the wearer's ear shape in the best possible way. Wind noise is neutralized through Wind Guard, and this device also has a tinnitus function. Bluetooth is part of the equipment as well, allowing your device to be paired with your smartphone or TV. It adapts to your situation automatically, supports remote fitting, and impresses with up to 30 hours of wearing time.
