Cerumen filters protect the hearing aid from contamination by cerumen (earwax) and moisture. The filters are usually very easy to place on the hearing aid and thus prevent soiling. For optimum protection, the filter should be replaced approx. every 2-3 weeks. The grid of the filter should always be clearly visible during this time. As soon as the grid starts to become dirty, you should replace the filter to ensure perfect sound transmission.
ProWax MiniFit filters have a smaller diameter than the older Oticon ProWax filters and are suitable for Oticon MiniFit receivers.
